Its not enjoyable to take your medicine but the momentary discomfort is vastly outweighed by the long term benefits to your health. To my fellow Real Estate Agents; it's time to take our medicine. In this week's episode I sit down with a first time home buyer who recently purchased a home in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Fairmount and came away from the experience feeling frustrated and confused. This is the first of a series of interviews where we'll sit down with homebuyers to debrief about the home buying experience here in Philadelphia. It's not pleasant to hear and as an agent it would be easy to dismiss the feedback as 'just another pain-in-the-ass' buyer but if you listen you'll hear the voice of someone who just wanted some education and clarity to what was going on during the largest purchase in their life. For the great agents who know that education and constant communication are the key to happy and successful clients this is just a confirmation of what you already know. For those who don't know that, listen carefully.

Worth Noting:
The purpose of this interview is not to attack, malign or blame any one agent/brokerage but to remind all of us in Real Esate about the fundamentals of our job. If you have a story of your own you like to share please use our contact form and let us know your story. Who knows, you could be the next interview on Phila-State.
